The spooky season is here, and we’re feeling festive. 🎃 We are so excited welcome back our annual Halloween show, The Ghastly Dreadfuls, and kick off this season’s run with our first-ever Halloween party, The Ghastly Gathering. Of course, our regular Family Series offerings and workshops are also on the schedule, so October promises to be a blast for all ages. Check it out and plan to join us this fall!

At the Center for Puppetry Arts, we pride ourselves on our well-rounded puppetry offerings, from our performances for families and adults, the Worlds of Puppetry Museum and our extensive educational opportunities. We have some GREAT workshops coming up in the 2017-18 Explore Puppetry Series for both teenagers and adults. 🎶 School’s out for summer. School’s out for—🎶—ok, maybe not forever, but long enough that your family might need fresh ideas to fill the time. That’s where we come in! This June, we’re introducing brand-new educational and museum programming, having some circus fun and showing some movies we love. We literally have something different to do every day!

We are now accepting applications for Ningyo & Ningyōzuka: A Master Class in Japanese Puppetry, taking place on April 3. Visiting puppet artists Tom Lee (War Horse, Madama Butterfly) and Koryu Nishikawa V (Hachioji Kuruma Ningyo, Cart Puppetry Company of Japan) will present a special workshop exploring Japanese traditional puppetry techniques that have had an enormous influence on world puppetry performance.
